AMAZON

Reviews make a HUGE difference to a writer, and when it comes to review sites, like it or not, Amazon is the 800 pound elephant-gorilla in the room. A quick, honest review here acts as huge social-proof and helps spread the word.
PRO TIP: Annoyingly, Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk maintain separate lists of reviews. If you've posted on one of them, please do consider copying and pasting the same review to the other!

PRO PRO TIP: If you're going to buy the book, then do so before you post your review - then the review is listed as a 'Verified Purchase', which adds further social proof.

GOODREADS

The next-best place to post a review is on the site goodreads.com. If you're not familiar with it, it's kind of a 'Facebook' about books - a great way to access thousands of reviews, keep a note of your own book collections, and get recommendations. You'll have to create an account, but it's SUPER QUICK to do so.

TELL A FRIEND...!

If you enjoyed any of my books, then passing on a recommendation is LITERALLY the best thing you can do - I certainly know I've discovered a large percentage of great books by personal recommendation. Hopefully your friend will like it too... and then you can send them to this page (sssh, it's a secret!). And if they happen to be a major movie producer, so much the better :)
